bless tucker...

today i came home from my nephew's baseball game and found our sweet tucker in the backyard, resting peacefully. he was 11, almost 12 years old. tucker was a wonderful dog that lived a happy, full life and will be deeply missed...

it's a great time to be a dallasite!!!

last night was so much stinkin' fun...it's a great time to be in dallas, and a great time to show your mavs pride. that was an incredible game that i believe sparked a long history of me really not liking the spurs. they are a very whiney team. but those mavericks just can't miss...what a remarkable team and an unbelievable coaching job!!!

how to rob a bank

i watched a special on cnn called "how to rob a bank" this weekend. seeing as i work for a bank and deal a lot with personal credit for customers, i feel like i have some insight on this...and the only thing i would like to say is: BE INFORMED. identity theft is out there and it is very real...don't give out personal information to just anyone, don't respond to the phony "bank" emails asking for your information (a bank will never send an email asking for your info) and pull your full credit report (experian, equifax and transunion) at least once a year to check for any discrepancies or unusual activity...after all, it's free to do and could save you a lot of pain in the longrun.

i just had to put it out there in case someone didn't know...sorry for the boring post...

the big buy

i saw an incredibly informative movie last night at angelika..."the big buy: tom delay's stolen congress." this is an amazing insight into the investigation and indictment of this former politician...just ANOTHER black sheep in the scandals surrounding this administration.

go mavs

i am pumped about the mavs and their success this season...looking forward to some good upcoming games...that said, gordon keith is my american idol and i enjoyed his commentary on his recent trip to san antonio for the game.

ok go

so i had an invite to go see ok go last night at gypsy tea room, and i happily accepted. i must have been living in a cave or something because i was unaware of the hysterical "dance" (for you baylor fans, it's sing-style, baby) they do with their song "a million ways."

please humor yourself, go to their site, www.okgo.net, and watch the hilarious video of their dance in whichever style media player you prefer (scroll a bit down the page and it's on the left). it's definitely the funniest thing i've seen in a while. they put on a great show...highly recommend it.

words cannot express...

"karl, do you really think wearing black leather
panties will up my approval ratings???"

i went for a spin...

so with the arrival of mollie and kevin to dallas, it was bound to happen...

tonight i took my virgin voyage to spin class, and let me tell you, it is every bit as difficult as it looks. but, every bit as fun and definitely a great workout. that will not be my last class. i am very thankful to have gone with two seasoned pros, because i would have been totally lost otherwise. oh, and thanks for the tip on the padded shorts, mols!!!
