WLP

welcome to the world, link! our baby boy was born yesterday morning at 8:00am, weighing 9 lbs and measuring 21.5 inches. he is perfect and we are enjoying every minute of him - from that sweet baby smell to wiggling toes and very adorable chubby cheeks. we are still at the hospital but i wanted to get up a few pics to share with our blog friends.

jay and i are both completely in love with our precious baby boy, each other, and our little family. thank you, God for this beautiful, healthy boy...he is our little miracle and we are in complete awe of him.

my favorite thing ever - cuddling with my baby boy!

big boy!

hilarious

our dads got out all his sooner gear in RECOVERY - starting him off right. :)

september 25th - birthday time!

well, it's official, tomorrow will be our little precious boy's birthday. we went in for the 39 week appointment today and had a sonogram. they are estimating his weight at 9 pounds, 6 ounces and after much discussion, we have elected to go with having a c-section. we are so amazed and excited that little link will be here with us tomorrow - i am totally in shock!

hope to share more news asap - and pictures! please say a prayer for us as we journey into our life with our sweet boy tomorrow.

wow. i have a car seat in my backseat and finally bought my fave petunia pickle bottom diaper bag in "misty shanghai" (those names crack me up). i'm a mom, just short a baby in hand. this is so weird.

i'm 38 weeks pregnant, kids. and yes, i have had plenty of the warning signs i hear about and know that this little boy is on his way, but, i'm not, in fact, in labor. so, we will just wait this out together. :) jay and i are taking walks every night to hurry this process along, and sometimes i swear i'm going to keep walking all the way downtown, straight to the hospital, in the hopes that by the time i arrive, he will be ready.

but seriously, things are good. i've had so many friends have babies in the last few days/weeks, (congrats to the trull, taylor, oneill, powell, and fogarty families...am i forgetting anyone??) which is making this whole waiting thing extra exciting! link, little buddy, don't you want to come meet your new friends and your mama???

hope to report some exciting news soon!

*side note: car seat question - do they go in the middle of the backseat?? we were thinking it would be easier to get in and out from one of the side seats of the car, but then we were thinking maybe they are supposed to go in the middle for extra safety? thoughts?

so it didn't go as planned, but overall the day was pretty fun. we had free, really great seats to the game and time with good friends and family. i felt my son going nuts in my 9-month pregnant belly with all the sounds and excitement surrounding the greatness of college football - big, big bonus and very fun!

so i'll post a few pics, say that the new cowboys stadium is really, really nice (not sure if i like it for football, but it's cool, nonetheless), and go on my merry way. i'm still happy it's football season, and hey, you win some, you lose some. (let's just hope our sweet sam bradford starts feeling better soon. ugh!)
